Isn't it wonderful to be cared by someone who loves us immensely? Aren't we privileged to become the children of the most high God? Doesn't it sound great to know that this mighty God, who is our Heavenly Father, is ever present with us to uphold us at the slightest fall? Yes my people, our God has promised thus that He will be with us all the time. In Joshua 1:9 , He says, “Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Amen!
I know one thing, that God is not a man to lie or to desert us midway. Every promise spoken by Him comes to pass. So when He says that He will be with you, simply believe. Believe that you are not alone; no, never alone, for your Father God is with you – everywhere you go. Many a times as we journey through life's boulevard, we tread upon a phase called loneliness. This phenomenon haunts us so severely that we feel isolated even when surrounded by our own. Everything seems to be against us. Life sounds meaningless. We hunger for a guiding force, a comforting hand and an embracing arm. But this world fails to offer any kind of solace. Our wisdom and knowledge can't help us a wee bit. Friends become apathetic. We fail to find anyone who can understand us.
Beloved people, maybe you have no one in this world who understands you. Maybe you are deserted by your very own, but remember there is still someone who loves you. He knows you and understands you. He wants to bring you out of that dungeon to place you on the road to prosperity. He is your heavenly Father, your God and your Friend. The Bible says in Job28:23, “ God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.” And yet again in Isaiah 51:12, “I, even I, am H e that comforteth you:” You don't need to fret or be dejected for anything, for God is with you to lend you a hand, to cover you in His arms, to love you like no one else. Hallelujah!
We read about a man in the Bible, called Moses. One day it so happened, that God called upon him and spoke to him from a burning bush. God told him that he has to go to meet Pharaoh, the king of Egypt and deliver the Israelites out of his bondage. Moses was appalled to hear this and said, “Lord, who am I to go to the great Pharaoh?” Moses knew that he was a nobody and inept for the task offered to him. In other words he was saying, “Lord, I can't even deliver my own self from the troubles am in, how am I supposed to deliver the children of Israel from a mighty king?” God answers him and says, “Certainly I will be with thee;” ( Exodus 3:12). Oh what a comfort to hear these words from the Almighty, all powerful God. The Creator of the Universe assures a skimpy shepherd, “I WILL BE WITH THEE.” What more did Moses need. He went ahead, backed with the power of God and delivered 3 million Israelites out of the hands of the great King Pharaoh!
Right now God is talking to many of you readers in the same manner. He tells you that you are not alone. In all your trials and troubles He watches over you waiting to deliver you at the right moment, at your first call of distress. All you got to do is call on His name. Invite Him into your heart and make Him, allow Him to rule over your lives. Come what may, never let your worries overcome your faith and trust in Jesus. He is faithful to deliver you, to sustain you and to bless you. I have experienced God's faithfulness in my own life several times. My husband, Pastor Peter and I have had to pass through many trials and persecutions, but the good Lord delivered us thorough it all. Today, we boldly stand to testify that He alone is faithful. He alone is our loving Heavenly Father who comforts us every time, who fills every vacuum in our lives. He is the one who is the hope of our salvation. Even when the whole world casts us away like a blot, hiding their faces from us, our loving Jesus never forsakes us nor does He leave us.
It is a bitter truth that this world we live in, offers little to the broken hearted. Everybody has their own businesses to attend to. No one cares for the other. When we are found in deep waters and problems surround us, everybody scurry away. You won't find anyone who can even give a ear to your grievances. The disciples of Jesus also had the same attitude in the beginning. In Matthew chap. 14, Jesus was ministering in the desert to a huge mass of people. When evening had come, with the crowd still present, Jesus had compassion on them. He told the disciples to feed them. But this is what the disciples replied, “ this is a deserted place and the hour is already late, send the multitude away that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” Sadly, this is the kind of attitude held by most of the people – Send them away. Let them take care or their own problems. But glory be to God, Jesus is not like them. What did He do? He miraculously fed the mammoth crowd! Why? Because He loved them. He loves every one of us and can't see us suffering. He is the compassionate One who even went ahead to die on the cross, so that by His death we may have life.
Have you seen a greater love than this? Even when we did not know Him, He laid down His life for us. Even while we were sinning, He died for us, so that we may be pardoned. This same God tells us in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” No one in this whole wide world has ever made such a statement, neither can anyone dare to, in the days to come. Everybody has a limit. But then God is God. Who can match up with Him? Amen!
Whenever you are in troubles, instead of running to the phone, run to God's throne, and you will be comforted for sure. The great King David of the Bible, was a man who would trust in God with all his heart. At any given instance He would run to God and pour down his supplications. Even when he sinned or was caught up in some infirmities, he would never fail to attend the throne of grace. In the book of Psalm 42:1-2 , he says, “As the deer panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?” Let us also like King David pant after God running to His throne. Every time we fall, every time we sin or fall back in faith, let us not just cry about it, but let's get up where we fell and cry out to Jesus. He will certainly answer us for He is close to us, even in us, in our very hearts.
God Bless You.
